Verena Grundhammer is an Austrian artist, born and raised in a village in Tyrol. She studied early years teaching and relocated to London, where she worked as such. In her free time she signed up on video courses and participated in short and feature length film projects (Hopscotch, Tuesday....)Verena resumed her academic studies, this time in Modern Languages and Humanities. In addition she organized art events and continued working in her Brixton based studio. She uses ink on paper, acrylic on canvas and poetic setting to express a mental state, a philosophical position, a psychoanalytic approach, poetry.Her work has been shown in numerous group projects and in solo exhibitions in London, Bolivia (Cochabamba, Oruro and La Paz), Santander and Barcelona. Her video projects have been shown at the Grand Geyser Art prize, 48/49 Frames Film Festival (Austria) and at the "Fundación Creativa" in Santander.
